The most important issues are decided by the therapeutic community meetings between the staff and patients. Community meeting decide on the main activities of the community (eg the acceptance of a new patient, the patient's transition to follow-up treatment phase, community presidential elections, and so on.). These meetings take place regularly or on demand. Also, such a meeting may be convened by the president in the event of any serious problem - if major violation of the community's internal rules happens, such as significant conflict or other similar urgent issues.
Any decision is take only after every opinion has been listened to. The decision is taken by majority vote of staff and the patiens, however the president has a final say if such need should arise, and may overrule any decisions that go contrary to the mission and goals of the rehabilitation community as such.
